4th Annual "All Fleas Aren't Bad" Flea Market
May 21, 2011
Volunteers, local businesses, and the Happy Tails staff teamed up to provide flea market treasures, crafts, antiques, food, drinks, and fun, including some awesome K-9 demonstrations! It was a great turnout this year — thanks to all who participated! We raised some well deserved money for some of our favorite local rescue groups: Austin Boxer Rescue, 401 K-9, and Wee Rescue.

The 2nd Annual "All Fleas Aren't Bad" Flea Market Nets Badly Needed Dollars for Wee Rescue
May 12, 2008

From WeeRescue.com -
May 3, 2008 was our Second Annual "All Fleas Aren't Bad" Market. It was such a fun day for all who attended. We had beautiful weather, great entertainment, numerous visits from adopted Wee dogs -- all of this and we made some money. This could not have happened without Debra May. She has done so much to support Wee Rescue and worked so hard to put together a venue where we can raise money to support the great cause of Wee Rescue and have a great time. Summer is almost here and our costs will continue to increase as we receive more and more dogs. So a very special thank you to Debra May, Dr. Jeff May, Sandra Brown, the Wonderful Happy Tails Pet Resort and Crossing Animal Clinic from all of Wee Rescue for making this another successful Flea Market. Wee Rescue is truly blessed to have the Mays!

Animal resort offers luxurious boarding for pets
The staff of Happy Tails Pet Resort doesn't really consider what they do to be work. "The animals who board here become like our own pets," said Debra May, who owns Happy Tails along with her husband Dr. Jeffrey May, DVM. "We give our animals a little extra care because we feel like they're part of our family."
Happy Tails, located at 509 Cypress Creek, provides short- and long-term boarding services for the area's canine and feline populations, as well as doggy day care. The idea for the kennel grew out of Dr. May's veterinary practice, Crossing Animal Clinic. "He knew there was a need for this kind of service in the area," Debra said. "It serves as a nice complement to his practice."
The pet resort, which opened in November 2001, has the capability to board 200 dogs and 50 cats.
